Board of Directors
Warren NunnWarren is the President and CEO of Security Bancorp, the holding company for the Bank of Halls. Warren has spent his life in banking starting his career at Union Planters National Bank in Memphis before returning to Halls in 1972. He has been on the Bank of Halls Board of Directors since 1978. He has served on boards and various committees of The University of Memphis, Dyersburg State Community College, Union University and the Baptist Hospital System. He was previously elected to the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Memphis where he served a three year term. He has overseen the tremendous growth of the organization during his time with the bank. Warren is also co-owner of Tennessee Tractor, which owns 10 John Deere dealerships and employs 350 people in 10 counties in West Tennessee. Warren is a graduate of the University of Memphis. He and his wife Eleanor live in Halls and have two sons and 6 grandchildren. |
Donald HogueDonald is the Secretary/ Treasurer of Security Bancorp and the Vice President & Trust Officer at the Bank of Halls. He also serves on the boards of the Bank of Halls, Bank of Crockett, Gates Banking and Trust Company and Security Bank. Donald started with the Bank of Halls in 1962 and worked at the bank for 5 years before leaving to become a bank examiner for the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions in 1968. He worked in that capacity for nine years before returning to the bank in 1977. Donald attended Union University and is a graduate of the School for Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin. He and his wife Patty live in Halls and have two children and 6 grandchildren. |
Chris NunnChris has been on the Bank of Halls Board since 2002. Chris joined the organization after auditing financial institutions for KPMG in Memphis. He is the Chief Financial Officer for Security Bancorp where he is responsible for financial analysis and reporting for the holding company and its subsidiary banks. He serves on the Board of Directors for all of our affiliated banks. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Bankers Association and the Independent Community Bankers of America. Chris is a graduate of Rhodes College where he is an adjunct professor in the Department of Commerce and Business. He and his wife Kim live in Memphis and have 3 children. |
Nick NunnNick started his career in 1993 in the Fixed Income Division of Morgan Keegan in Memphis. He was a Senior Vice President working as a broker before leaving to join Security Bancorp in 2005. He serves on the Board of Directors for all six banks associated with Security Bancorp. Nick manages the investment portfolio and funds management duties for all six banks in the organization. He has also been Treasurer of United Telephone Company based in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. Nick also serves as a Board Member of Advance Memphis. Nick is a graduate of Auburn University. He and his wife Kara live in Memphis and have 3 children and are members of Second Presbyterian Church. |
James SmithJames joined Security Bancorp in 2006. James assist primarily with regulatory and board reporting, and loan monitoring for the holding company and its subsidiary banks. He was the President of The Bank of Friendship from 1999 to 2002. He left to become President of Citizens City and County Bank in Trenton, Tennessee working there until leaving to join Security Bancorp. James is President at the Bank of Halls and Gates Banking and Trust Company. James is a graduate of The University of Tennessee at Martin. He and his wife Cindy live in Friendship and have 1 daughter. |
Leslie M CrookLeslie began serving on The Bank of Halls Board of Directors in 1996. He is self employed as the owner of Crook Planting Company and a farmer. He has been a big supporter of the Future Farmers of America for many years. He and his wife Fayne have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. |
Farnsworth Eugene Pugh, Jr.Eugene has been an active member on the Board of Directors since 1972. After attending Mississippi State University, Eugene came back to run the family farm. In addition to farming, Eugene is the Mayor of Halls and has been a Lauderdale County Commissioner for 40 years. He is also the Vice President of the TN Cotton Ginners Association. He and his wife Mary Hellen have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. They attend Halls First Baptist Church. |
David H Hurt IIITrey came onto the board of directors in 1996. He is owner and president of Hurt Seed Company, Inc. He is currently a member and on the board of directors for Tenn. Crop Improvement and Unisouth Genetics. He has also been president of the Tenn. Crop Improvement Board for the past eight years. He and his wife Tonya have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. |
Alan JordanAlan has been serving The Bank of Halls on the Board of Directors since 1996. Alan is a farmer, and works hard to make his family’s farm thrive year after year. He attended UT Martin before returning home to farm. He and his wife Jennifer have 1 child. |
Judy TerryJudy started work at the Bank of Halls in November, 1973. After transferring from the loan department to teller row, she was promoted to Assistant Cashier and Head Teller in 1986. In 2014, she was named Senior Vice-President. She was promoted to Executive Vice-President and Cashier in 2016. She is also the Assistant BSA officer at the Bank. She and her husband Andy attend BethesdaUnitedMethodistChurch in Halls and have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren. She joined the Board of Directors for the Bank in 2016. |
